The functionality of a smoke detector is actually tested with SmokeCheck test gas. With the push button, only the alarm signal is switched on, but this test gas ensures that the smoke alarm device actually goes into alarm. This means you are always sure of how your smoke detector works. We recommend testing every smoke alarm at least twice a year with SmokeCheck. The test gas complies with the latest European legislation and does contain flammable propellant gas. The gas is used by both the professional fire detection market (for example for smoke detectors that are part of a fire alarm system), and by private individuals for individual smoke detectors that can be found in every home.
