The functionality of a smoke detector is actually tested with PurCheck test gas. With the push button, only the alarm signal is switched on, but this test gas ensures that the smoke alarm device actually goes into alarm. This is the only way to always be sure of how the smoke detector works. We recommend testing each smoke alarm at least twice a year with PureCheck. The test gas complies with the latest European legislation and contains no flammable propellant gas. The gas is used by both the professional fire detection market (for example for smoke detectors that are part of a fire alarm system), and by private individuals for individual smoke detectors that can be found in every home.
